Reggae Music News for the Week of March 4th 2012

Reggae music is a cultural music which originally came in Jamaica. It became popular as Bob Marley introduces it internationally. But foreign artist invade the local music. Damian Marley thinks that Jamaica should pay more homage to their own music because it is now a bit imbalance for they don’t hear cultural music because of the influence of the foreign music. International acclaimed Reggae superstar Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley encourages the local industry to let the spirit of reggae music back to the Jamaican.

He believes that Jamaicans needs to gain the benefits that reggae music has provided to them and musician worldwide. He asks every Jamaicans to show appreciation for the reggae music. Reggae describes every Jamaicans and it is their identity but unfortunately there has been an apparent declining. The superstar simply wants reggae music alive in Jamaica. For him, Jamaica is loaded with great talents and wonderful music’s which they can showcase locally and internationally. He said that as music had grown, Jamaicans need to capitalize on that part.

The superstar encourage his countrymen the follow the example of the youngest son of Reggae icon Bob Marley. He wants Jamaicans to evolve and love their cultural music just like how Bob Marley loves their music. Damian saw that Jamaicans have potentials if they will focus and work on what they have. Their music has been recognized all around the globe. While Marley dominates the Jamaican music scene with two recent releases Set Up and Affairs of the Heart. Jr. Gong revealed the Ghetto Youths International will soon be promoting upcoming singles for recent singing Wayne Marshall.
