If I hadn't grown up listening to ska, this Heavy Manners track probably wouldn't be the least bit palatable. As it is, though, the track just offers up an American take on the form dating from the eighties. There's worse out there - and as this got issued so early on, the Chicago band probably did a bit for the genre in its hey-day.
